Leesburg is a city of about 25,000 people in Lake County, Florida, and serves as the county seat. It is bordered by Lake Harris and Lake Griffin, two of the larger lakes in the Harris Chain of Lakes, and the city has dozens of smaller lakes and ponds scattered throughout its neighborhoods. Venetian Gardens, the lakefront park along Lake Harris, is the most-recognized green space in the city and a regular gathering point for residents. The historic downtown along Main Street has been the focus of revitalization efforts in recent years, and the neighborhoods nearest to it include homes dating back to the early 1900s. A large share of Leesburg's population are retirees, and active adult communities like Plantation at Leesburg are among the most prominent addresses in the city.
The majority of Leesburg's housing stock consists of single-family concrete block homes built between the 1970s and 1990s - the standard CBS construction used across Central Florida during that era. These homes are durable but require regular exterior maintenance, particularly for stucco resealing and mortar joint upkeep. Lot sizes vary across the city, but flat, low-lying lots near the lakes are common, and water drainage affects a wide range of properties well beyond the ones that sit directly on the water. Nearby The Villages, FL shares Leesburg's active adult community character and is one of the most recognized retirement destinations in the country. To the north, Ocala, FL is our home base, and the route between Ocala and Leesburg along US-27 is one we travel regularly for jobs throughout Lake and Marion counties.
